What we offer
Our residence and support structures are aimed at providing a safe and comfortable base, both physically and emotionally, from which we can offer an array of activities, each tailored to an individual’s capabilities and preferences. These are designed to help develop communication, social and life skills and to boost the building of self-confidence and help to progress to a more independent lifestyle. This includes a selection of daily organised activities, regular social events at the home and in the community, outings and excursions and support for educational and vocational learning.
Our service also involves a Positive Behaviour Support practitioner who works alongside staff to support individuals as required with emotional and mental wellbeing.
This all goes a long way to help ensure we are doing the best for our residents and service users. They are fully involved in the decision-making about all aspects of the service, as well as in the residential care community itself.
The Poplars
It can be quite a daunting experience when looking for somewhere that you can call home and live as independently as possible, whilst still having access to the support you may need.
Look no further, we have recently completed a full renovation of Poplars Care Home in Braintree, Essex for people with learning disabilities including; Autism, Mental Health and complex behaviour.
Residents have the opportunity to build life and social skills, as well as confidence through daily routines and interaction with other service users and staff within our Innova Care community. Residents also benefit from easy access to a wide range of community-based educational, work and leisure opportunities to help support their progress.
